Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PTT-020 is an investigational small molecule drug candidate being developed by Pyrotech Therapeutics for the treatment of Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer (NMIBC). Currently in the preclinical stage, PTT-020 is part of the company's immuno-oncology pipeline, which focuses on modulating the pyroptosis pathway—a highly inflammatory form of programmed cell death. By triggering pyroptosis within the tumor microenvironment, the therapy aims to convert immunologically 'cold' tumors into 'hot' tumors, thereby enhancing the body's innate and adaptive immune response against bladder cancer cells. The drug is being evaluated for its potential to provide a novel therapeutic approach for patients with NMIBC who have limited treatment options.
