PTT-621

PTT-621 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of Gasdermin D (GSDMD) developed by Pyrotech Therapeutics (Beijing Yanming Biological Technology). Gasdermin D is a key executor of pyroptosis, a highly inflammatory form of programmed cell death, and serves as a conduit for the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-18. By inhibiting GSDMD, PTT-621 aims to suppress the excessive inflammatory response associated with various autoimmune and autoinflammatory conditions. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), focusing on safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers.
