Overview

**PTX-061** is Pleco Therapeutics' investigational Plecoid fixed-dose combination of chelating agents for **acute myeloid leukemia**. It is intended as an adjunct to standard chemotherapy: its proposed mechanism is removal of toxic metal ions from the cancer-promoting microenvironment, with the goal of improving leukemic-cell responsiveness to chemotherapy. The program originated from research associated with MD Anderson Cancer Center and was subsequently co-developed by Pleco Therapeutics and Hyloris.
