PTX-103 is an investigational mRNA-based cancer vaccine being developed by Providence Therapeutics for the treatment of glioblastoma. The therapeutic is designed to encode a selection of common tumor antigens that are frequently expressed in glioblastoma cells. By delivering these genetic instructions, PTX-103 aims to stimulate the patient's immune system to recognize and mount a targeted anti-tumor response against the malignancy. This approach utilizes Providence's proprietary mRNA platform to potentially overcome the immunosuppressive environment associated with aggressive brain tumors. As of early 2024, the program is in the discovery and preclinical phase of development.
