Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PTX-108 is an mRNA-based cancer vaccine developed by Providence Therapeutics for the treatment of pediatric brain cancer. The vaccine utilizes messenger RNA to encode specific pediatric brain tumor antigens, aiming to stimulate the patient's immune system to recognize and mount a targeted response against malignant brain tumor cells. By delivering the genetic instructions for these antigens directly to the patient's cells, PTX-108 facilitates the endogenous production of tumor-specific proteins that are then presented to the immune system. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
