Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PTX-206 is an mRNA-based vaccine candidate being developed by Providence Therapeutics for the prevention of Salmonella infection. The vaccine utilizes a multiantigen approach, employing mRNA to encode several Salmonella-specific antigens designed to elicit a broad and protective immune response. By leveraging the host's cellular machinery to produce these bacterial antigens, PTX-206 aims to stimulate both humoral and cellular immunity to protect against Salmonella-induced disease. As of early 2024, the program is in the discovery stage of development.
