Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PTX-301 is an mRNA-based vaccine candidate developed by Providence Therapeutics specifically for animal health applications. It is designed to target avian influenza virus antigens to provide protection against Highly Pathogenic Influenza (HPI) in veterinary settings. As an mRNA vaccine, it functions by delivering genetic instructions to animal cells to produce specific viral antigens, thereby stimulating a protective immune response. The program is currently in the Proof-of-Concept stage of development, representing an expansion of Providence's mRNA platform into the prevention of infectious diseases in livestock and poultry.
