Overview

PTX-4-3 is a preclinical-stage small molecule modulator of the tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB), developed by PharmatrophiX. It is being investigated for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. TrkB is the primary receptor for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a key protein involved in neuronal survival, differentiation, and synaptic plasticity. By targeting TrkB, PTX-4-3 aims to mimic or enhance neurotrophic signaling to prevent neurodegeneration and promote neuronal health.
