Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PTx311 is a small molecule prebiotic and postbiotic formulation developed by Primal Therapies for daily canine oral care. It utilizes the proprietary Selective Microbial Metabolism Regulation Technology (SMMRT) to selectively regulate the metabolism of the canine oral microbiome. Rather than acting as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial that kills all bacteria, PTx311 promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria while inhibiting the metabolic pathways of pathogenic bacteria associated with dental disease and bad breath. The product is marketed under the brand name TEEF for Life and is available as a water additive powder.
