Overview
Pudilan Keyanning mouthrinse is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)-based oral care product developed for the management of dental plaque and gingivitis. The formulation is derived from the Pudilan formula, which typically consists of four medicinal herbs: *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Huangqin), *Taraxacum mongolicum* (Pugongying), *Corydalis bungeana* (Kudiding), and *Isatis tinctoria* (Banlangen). These components provide a synergistic effect characterized by anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties. The mouthrinse is designed to reduce gingival inflammation and inhibit the formation of dental plaque by targeting oral pathogens and modulating the local inflammatory response. It has been evaluated in Phase 4 clinical trials, including studies sponsored by the Peking University School of Stomatology, to compare its efficacy and safety against standard chemical mouthwashes like chlorhexidine.
