Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pudilan Xiaoyan Tablets is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) oral formulation developed and manufactured by Guangdong Xinbao Pharmaceutical. It is a combination product consisting of extracts from four primary medicinal herbs: *Herba Taraxaci* (Dandelion), *Herba Violae* (Violet), *Radix Isatidis* (Isatis root), and *Radix Scutellariae* (Baikal skullcap). The drug is widely utilized in China for its heat-clearing, detoxifying, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the upper respiratory tract, such as acute tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and laryngitis, as well as for skin infections like boils and carbuncles. The therapeutic effect is attributed to the synergistic action of its herbal components, which exhibit broad-spectrum antibacterial and antiviral activities, alongside the inhibition of pro-inflammatory mediators.
