Pueraria mirifica extract

Phytoestrogen-Dhurakij Pundit University refers to an investigational botanical product derived from *Pueraria mirifica*, a Thai medicinal plant known as White Kwao Krua. The extract contains a variety of phytoestrogens, including isoflavonoids (such as puerarin, daidzin, and genistin), coumestans, and chromenes (notably miroestrol and deoxymiroestrol). These compounds function as natural selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) that bind to estrogen receptors to mimic or modulate the effects of endogenous estrogen. Dhurakij Pundit University is evaluating the treatment in a Phase 2/3 clinical trial to determine its efficacy in improving serum lipid parameters—including triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL, and HDL—in postmenopausal women with dyslipidemia.
