Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pulmo-LS is an oral expectorant and mucolytic combination syrup developed and marketed by Anglo-French Drugs & Industries for the treatment of productive cough associated with asthma, bronchitis, and respiratory tract infections. It is a fixed-dose combination containing three active ingredients: ambroxol, a mucolytic agent that thins and loosens mucus; guaifenesin, an expectorant that increases respiratory tract fluid to reduce mucus stickiness; and levosalbutamol (also known as levalbuterol), a beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist that acts as a bronchodilator to relax airway smooth muscles and facilitate easier breathing.
