Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PulmoProst is a therapeutic product developed by Infusyn Therapeutics for the treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH). It involves the intravenous administration of iloprost, a synthetic analogue of prostacyclin, delivered via the Prometra II programmable infusion pump. Iloprost acts as a potent agonist of the prostacyclin (IP) receptor, which mediates vasodilation of the pulmonary and systemic arterial vascular beds and inhibits platelet aggregation. The PulmoProst program has completed a Special Protocol Assessment (SPA) with the FDA, facilitating the design of a pivotal clinical trial for PAH.
