Overview
Pulocimab is a monoclonal antibody that acts as an antagonist of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2). By inhibiting VEGFR2, it functions as an angiogenesis inhibitor, blocking the signaling pathways that promote new blood vessel formation in tumors. Pulocimab is being developed primarily for oncology indications, including gastric cancer (phase III), liver cancer (phase II), non-small cell lung cancer (phase I), esophageal cancer (phase I), and other solid tumors (phase I). The drug was originally developed by Akeso Biopharma and is also associated with AD Pharmaceuticals[2][3][7]. Its mechanism targets tumor angiogenesis to limit tumor growth and metastasis.
