pultelimab

Pultelimab (SCT-I10A) is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody designed to target the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor. Developed by Sinocelltech, it acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by blocking the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2. This blockade prevents the inhibitory signaling that typically suppresses T-cell activation, thereby enhancing the immune system's ability to identify and destroy tumor cells. Pultelimab is currently being evaluated in various clinical settings, including advanced pancreatic cancer, where it is studied in combination with low-dose radiotherapy and standard chemotherapy regimens like AG (nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine) or FOLFIRINOX. It has also reached late-stage clinical development for other solid tumors such as esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
