Overview
PUR001 is an investigational anti-CD39 monoclonal antibody developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. It works by specifically targeting and binding to the CD39 antigen (also known as ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1), thereby inhibiting its enzymatic activity. CD39 is involved in the conversion and degradation of extracellular ATP to AMP, a process that can suppress immune responses in the tumor microenvironment. By blocking CD39, PUR001 aims to enhance anti-tumor immunity. The drug is being developed by Purinomia Biotech and has reached Phase 1 clinical trials as monotherapy in adult patients with advanced solid tumors[1][2][3][4].
