Overview
PUR1500 is an investigational inhaled anti-fibrotic drug developed by Pulmatrix for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). It utilizes Pulmatrix’s proprietary iSPERSE (inhaled Small Particles Easily Respirable and Emitted) dry powder technology, which is designed to optimize delivery of therapeutic agents directly to the lungs, maximizing local concentrations while minimizing systemic side effects. The iSPERSE platform enables efficient lung deposition with minimal throat deposition, potentially allowing higher doses and improved patient outcomes. As of the latest available information, PUR1500 remains in early-stage development and has not advanced beyond discovery or preclinical stages[1][2][4][6][7][8][10].
