Puralube

Puralube is an over-the-counter **ophthalmic lubricant ointment** used to relieve dry eye symptoms and eye irritation by forming a protective, moisturizing film over the ocular surface. It contains **light mineral oil + white petrolatum** and acts as an inert ocular emollient rather than through receptor-mediated pharmacology, helping reduce tear evaporation and protect the eye from further irritation. The product was originally manufactured by **Paddock Laboratories** and later returned to market for retail distribution through **Fera Pharmaceuticals**; it has also been marketed in preservative-free sterile ophthalmic ointment presentations.
