Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PuraNK is an adoptive natural killer (NK) cell therapy being developed by iCELL Biotechnology. It is specifically designed for the treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in patients who remain minimal residual disease-positive (MRD+) following consolidation therapy. The therapy utilizes activated and expanded NK cells, which are innate immune lymphocytes capable of recognizing and eliminating malignant cells without the need for prior sensitization. PuraNK aims to eradicate residual leukemic blasts through the release of cytotoxic granules containing perforin and granzymes, as well as through the expression of death receptor ligands, thereby reducing the risk of disease relapse and improving clinical outcomes for AML patients.
