Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pure PRP II is a specialized autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) preparation system developed by EmCyte Corporation. It is designed to concentrate high levels of platelets and regenerative growth factors from a patient's own peripheral blood while significantly reducing the presence of proinflammatory red blood cells and granulocytes. The system utilizes a unique concentrated biologic preparation process that allows for high platelet recovery yields (often exceeding 80%). Upon injection into damaged tissue, the concentrated platelets undergo degranulation, releasing essential signaling proteins such as Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF), Transforming Growth Factor-beta (TGF-β), and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF). these factors collectively stimulate cellular proliferation, angiogenesis, and extracellular matrix synthesis, facilitating tissue repair and regeneration in orthopedic, sports medicine, and aesthetic applications.
