Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PureBMC is a point-of-care bone marrow concentrating system developed by EmCyte Corporation. It is designed to process bone marrow aspirate (BMA) through density gradient centrifugation to produce a high-concentration bone marrow concentrate (BMC). The system effectively isolates and concentrates regenerative cells, including mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs), and total nucleated cells (TNCs), while significantly reducing red blood cell and granulocyte contamination. PureBMC is primarily utilized in regenerative medicine and orthopedic procedures to facilitate tissue repair and healing by delivering a concentrated dose of autologous growth factors and progenitor cells to the site of injury. The resulting concentrate contains a rich milieu of cytokines and growth factors such as PDGF, TGF-beta, and VEGF, which contribute to its therapeutic efficacy in bone grafting and soft tissue repair.
