Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PureCyTonin is a non-hormonal dietary supplement composed of purified and specific cytoplasmic pollen extracts (primarily PI and GC types). It is used primarily for the management of menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, irritability, fatigue, mood swings, and premenstrual syndrome. PureCyTonin acts via inhibition of serotonin reuptake in the brain—an SSRI-like mechanism—without estrogenic or hormonal activity. This makes it suitable for women who cannot or do not wish to use hormone therapy (including breast cancer survivors). Clinical trials have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing vasomotor symptoms with a favorable safety profile. The product does not interfere with CYP2D6 metabolism or tamoxifen efficacy[1][2][3][5][6][7].
