Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**PURIAM110** is an orally administered botanical dietary supplement consisting of a 1:1 mixture of bitter orange fruit (*Fructus Aurantii*) and mulberry leaf (*Folium Mori*). It was developed in South Korea for prevention of progression from pre-diabetes to type 2 diabetes mellitus and for improvement of glycemic and lipid-related diabetic parameters. In a registered randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multicenter Phase II/III study, it was administered as capsules for 6 weeks to Korean adults with pre-diabetes or non-insulin-requiring diabetes mellitus. Its precise molecular targets and mechanism of action have not been established. ([isrctn.com](https://www.isrctn.com/pdf/ISRCTN44779824))
