Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Puribaptide is a synthetic cyclic peptide and a platelet glycoprotein IIb/IIIa (GP IIb/IIIa) receptor antagonist. Developed by Shaanxi Maike Aote Technology Co., Ltd., it is intended for the treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and for patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The drug works by binding to the GP IIb/IIIa receptor on the surface of platelets, which prevents the binding of fibrinogen and other adhesive ligands, thereby inhibiting platelet aggregation and thrombus formation. Puribaptide is administered via intravenous injection and has been evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamic effects on platelet function and coagulation.
