Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Purified Platelet Derived Growth Factors (also known as L-GF or XelyoMax) is a standardized, lyophilized, pathogen-inactivated, and fibrinogen-depleted platelet releasate containing a supra-physiological concentration of multiple growth factors, including platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), fibroblast growth factor (FGF), epidermal growth factor (EGF), and insulin-like growth factor (IGF). Developed by Power of Platelets and Consumed, XelyoMax is prepared from allogeneic human platelets using a patented process that ensures viral inactivation and standardization of growth factor concentrations. It is designed as a refined, off-the-shelf alternative to conventional autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, eliminating the need for patient blood draws and providing a consistent, water-soluble product with an extended shelf life. XelyoMax is primarily developed for regenerative medicine applications, including the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders such as knee osteoarthritis, plantar fasciitis, subacromial impingement syndrome, and tennis elbow, as well as wound healing, skin rejuvenation, and androgenetic alopecia.
