Overview
Purity is an essential amino acid (EAA) nutritional supplement developed by Amino Co and currently being evaluated in collaboration with the University of Colorado, Denver. It is a proprietary blend of essential amino acids designed to stimulate protein synthesis and reduce hepatic fat accumulation. The product is being investigated in a Phase 3 clinical trial (AMINOS, NCT05935826) for its efficacy in treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and obesity in adolescents. While Purity is already marketed as a dietary supplement for general health and wellness, the AMINOS study aims to establish its therapeutic role in improving liver fat content and metabolic health in pediatric populations with excess liver fat.
