Purpurex

Purpurex is a topical formulation developed for the treatment and prevention of various forms of skin discoloration, including purpura (specifically senile purpura), post-procedural bruising, and traumatic bruising. Originally developed by dermatologist Dr. Michael Alphabet and later acquired by Conversion Labs (now LifeMD), the product is marketed as a clinically-tested solution to accelerate the healing of bruises. Its mechanism of action relies on a combination of active ingredients, most notably Vitamin K1 (phytonadione) and Arnica Montana. Vitamin K1 acts as an essential cofactor in the coagulation cascade, supporting vascular integrity and the body's natural ability to clear extravasated blood, while Arnica Montana provides anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties to reduce swelling and speed up the resolution of heme-related discoloration.
