Overview
Puruixiao capsule is an investigational Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Shanghai Yaogu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the treatment of chronic nonbacterial prostatitis (NIH category III). It is specifically indicated for patients presenting with the damp-heat and blood stasis syndrome according to TCM diagnostic criteria. The drug is administered orally in capsule form. A Phase 2 clinical trial (CTR20131472) was conducted in China to evaluate its safety and efficacy, using the NIH Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI) as a primary endpoint and comparing it against Shenitong tablets.
