Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pusen pelvic inflammatory disease capsule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Jilin Province Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is indicated for the treatment of chronic pelvic pain resulting from the sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), specifically targeting the damp-heat and blood stasis pattern in TCM diagnosis. The formulation aims to clear heat, resolve dampness, and promote blood circulation to alleviate pain and inflammation. It has been evaluated in a randomized, double-blind Phase III clinical trial in China (CTR20160591), where its efficacy and safety were compared against Pule Ling pelvic inflammation granules in women with chronic pelvic pain sequelae.
