Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pushen capsule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation approved in China for the treatment of hyperlipidemia and related cardiovascular conditions. It is composed of several herbal extracts, including *Taraxacum mongolicum* (Dandelion), *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (Danshen), *Gynostemma pentaphyllum*, *Polygonum multiflorum*, *Crataegus pinnatifida* (Hawthorn), and *Alisma orientale*. The medication is indicated for patients presenting with 'qi stagnation and blood stasis' syndrome, characterized by elevated blood lipids and poor circulation. Pharmacologically, it is thought to regulate lipid metabolism, inhibit platelet aggregation, and provide antioxidant and neuroprotective benefits, making it a candidate for adjunctive treatment in ischemic stroke.
