Overview

Pusintin is a biosimilar of bevacizumab, developed by TOT Biopharm. It is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), thereby inhibiting angiogenesis—the formation of new blood vessels—which tumors need for growth and metastasis. Pusintin has been approved in China for the treatment of advanced, metastatic or recurrent non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), glioblastoma multiforme, epithelial ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer or primary peritoneal cancer, cervical cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma. The drug was developed using proprietary Perfusion-batch mixed culture technology to optimize production efficiency and cost[1][2][3][5][8].
