PV-001

PV-001 is a 9-valent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine currently in Phase I clinical development by POSVAX Co., Ltd., a South Korean biotechnology company. The vaccine is a virus-like particle (VLP)-based biologic designed for the prevention of HPV infections caused by types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58. The active ingredients consist of L1 virus-like particles for each of the nine HPV types, manufactured in *Saccharomyces cerevisiae* (yeast) using a specialized heating-chilling process to ensure high purity and homogeneity. Formulated with aluminum phosphate as an adjuvant, PV-001 is administered via intramuscular injection. In Phase I clinical trials involving healthy women aged 19-45, the vaccine demonstrated a favorable safety profile and elicited robust immunogenic responses, including significant increases in anti-HPV L1 VLP IgG and neutralizing antibody titers for all targeted genotypes.
