pVax-ENO1 is a DNA vaccine designed to target alpha-enolase (ENO1), a glycolytic enzyme that is frequently overexpressed in various cancers, including pancreatic adenocarcinoma. The vaccine functions by delivering DNA sequences encoding ENO1, which leads to the expression of the ENO1 antigen within the body. This expression subsequently triggers both humoral (antibody-mediated) and cellular (T-cell-mediated) immune responses specifically directed against ENO1-expressing tumor cells. The goal of this immunotherapy is to enhance anti-tumor immunity, thereby delaying tumor progression and improving survival outcomes, particularly when used in combination with other therapeutic strategies like IL17A depletion.
