**PVP-TZ-POR 7c** is an experimental polyvinylpyrrolidone micellar formulation containing the free-base beta-substituted triazole-tetraphenylporphyrin photosensitizer TZ-POR 7c. Upon visible-light irradiation, the porphyrin photosensitizer transfers energy to molecular oxygen and generates cytotoxic reactive oxygen species, including singlet oxygen, for photodynamic therapy. In vitro, the formulation showed concentration-dependent photoactivity against HT-1376 human bladder cancer cells, with approximately 80% loss of cell viability at the highest tested concentration after a 4-hour incubation and white-light irradiation; it was not cytotoxic in the dark.
