Overview

PVT401 is a novel peptide-major histocompatibility complex (pMHC) nanomedicine drug candidate, also referred to as a Navacim, developed by Parvus Therapeutics for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. The drug is designed to induce the in vivo generation of antigen-specific regulatory T cells (Tregs), thereby restoring organ-specific immune tolerance without broadly suppressing normal immune function. This mechanism aims to halt or potentially cure autoimmune diseases by specifically modulating the immune response against self-antigens implicated in IBD. As of mid-2025, PVT401 remains in preclinical development and is being advanced through a collaboration between Parvus Therapeutics and AbbVie, with manufacturing support from National Resilience[1][2][3][4][5][8][9][10].
