PVX-009

PVX-009 is an investigational multi-peptide vaccine candidate developed by Provaxus, a subsidiary of OncoPep, for the prevention of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2 infection). The vaccine is designed to elicit a comprehensive immune response by targeting multiple highly conserved epitopes across the SARS-CoV-2 virus, including the spike (S) protein and other structural proteins such as the nucleocapsid (N), membrane (M), and envelope (E) proteins. Unlike many first-generation vaccines that focus exclusively on the spike protein, PVX-009 aims to provide broader and more durable protection against emerging variants by incorporating T-cell epitopes that are less prone to mutation. The platform leverages OncoPep's proprietary peptide-based immunotherapy technology, which was originally developed to stimulate specific T-cell populations for oncology indications like multiple myeloma.
