Overview

PX-128 is a bispecific antibody developed for the treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis and moderate to severe asthma. It simultaneously targets and inhibits interleukin-13 (IL-13) and thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), two key cytokines involved in Th2-driven skin inflammation and tissue inflammation, respectively. By blocking both IL-13-mediated Th2 skin inflammation and TSLP-mediated tissue inflammation, PX-128 aims to address multiple disease-driving pathways in heterogeneous patient subpopulations, potentially offering improved efficacy over therapies that target a single pathway. The drug was originally developed by Proteologix and is now part of Johnson & Johnson’s immunology portfolio following their acquisition of Proteologix in 2024[1][3][4][5][7][9].
