Overview

PX019 is a small molecule inhibitor of the Pannexin 1 (Panx1) channel, currently under development by Panex (Pannexin Therapeutics) as a lead candidate for oncology indications. Pannexin 1 is a membrane protein that forms large-pore channels involved in the release of ATP and other signaling molecules, playing a significant role in tumor progression, metastasis, and the tumor microenvironment. By blocking Panx1, PX019 aims to disrupt these pro-tumorigenic signaling pathways. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
