Pyridoxine, also known as vitamin B6, is a water-soluble vitamin essential for various bodily functions, including energy metabolism, nerve function, and red blood cell production. It is used to treat and prevent vitamin B6 deficiency, which can occur due to poor diet, certain medications, or medical conditions. Pyridoxine is also used to alleviate morning sickness during pregnancy and to prevent isoniazid-induced peripheral neuropathy.
