Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pyrodace Forte is an oral combination supplement containing N-acetylcysteine (600 mg) and pyridoxamine (or pyridoxine, 50 mg), marketed primarily in India by Plasoron Biotech. It is used to support kidney function and slow the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and diabetic kidney disease. N-acetylcysteine acts as a precursor to glutathione, replenishing cellular antioxidant stores and protecting kidney tissues from oxidative stress and damage, including contrast-induced kidney injury. Pyridoxamine (or pyridoxine) is a form of Vitamin B6 that serves as a cofactor in metabolic pathways, helping to regulate the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids, and assisting in maintaining energy balance in patients with renal impairment.
