PZ04 PD-1Ab21-CD19CAR-T cells is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) General Hospital. The therapy is designed to treat CD19-positive hematological malignancies, including B-cell lymphomas and leukemias. These CAR-T cells are engineered to target the CD19 antigen on malignant B cells and are further modified to express or secrete a PD-1 antibody (PD-1Ab21). This dual approach aims to directly eliminate tumor cells while simultaneously blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitory pathway, which often leads to T-cell exhaustion and treatment failure in the tumor microenvironment. PZ04 is currently being investigated in early-phase clinical trials to assess its safety, efficacy, and in vivo expansion.
