Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Q-Urol is a multi-ingredient phytotherapeutic dietary supplement developed by Farr Laboratories for the management of chronic prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS). The formulation contains a synergistic blend of quercetin, a bioflavonoid with potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties; bromelain and papain, proteolytic enzymes that facilitate the absorption of quercetin and reduce tissue inflammation; and rye flower pollen extract (Cernitin), which has been shown to improve urinary flow and reduce pelvic pain. Q-Urol is designed to target the inflammatory and oxidative components of prostatic disease and has been evaluated in clinical trials, including studies on reducing the severity of radiation-induced prostatitis in patients undergoing brachytherapy for prostate cancer.
