Overview

Q199 is a novel small-molecule inhibitor identified through integrative bioinformatic screening and virtual library testing for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. It specifically targets **Cell Division Cycle 20 (CDC20)**, a key regulator of the cell cycle that is transcriptionally regulated by the RB1/E2F1 axis. By inhibiting CDC20, Q199 disrupts cell cycle progression and induces apoptosis in tumor cells. In preclinical studies, Q199 has demonstrated significant anti-tumor efficacy in castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) models, showing superior potency compared to traditional androgen receptor (AR) antagonists in AR-independent cell lines.
