Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QASED (Qualified Autologous Serum Eye Drops) is a personalized, blood-derived biologic therapy developed by Ocubio for the treatment of ocular surface diseases, such as dry eye disease. Based on a proprietary manufacturing protocol developed at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, QASED is prepared from a patient's own blood serum, which naturally contains essential proteins and growth factors (including albumin, fibronectin, vitamin A, epidermal growth factor, and transforming growth factor-beta) that mimic natural tears. Unlike conventional autologous serum eye drops that require constant freezing, QASED features room-temperature stability for up to one week after opening and is delivered in single-week vials.
