QBX258 is an investigational intravenous dual-cytokine immunotherapy developed by Novartis. It combines the anti-interleukin-4 monoclonal antibody VAK694, also reported as VAK296, with the anti-interleukin-13 monoclonal antibody QAX576, also known as dectrekumab. By neutralizing IL-4 and IL-13, QBX258 suppresses type 2 helper T-cell inflammatory signaling implicated in asthma and fibrosis-associated breast cancer-related lymphedema. It was evaluated in Phase 2 asthma studies and in a small pilot study in breast cancer-related upper-extremity lymphedema.
