Overview

QH104A is a first-in-class small molecule agonist developed by Beijing Qinghui Liannuo Biotechnology (Quonovo) that targets the Butyrophilin 3A (BTN3A) family of proteins, specifically Butyrophilin subfamily 3 member A1 (BTN3A1). The drug is designed to bind to the intracellular B30.2 domain of BTN3A1, inducing a conformational change in the extracellular domain that mimics the effect of natural phosphoantigens. This molecular switch triggers the activation and proliferation of Vγ9Vδ2 γδ T cells, which then selectively recognize and eliminate tumor cells. QH104A is engineered for high blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability, making it particularly suitable for treating primary and metastatic central nervous system (CNS) malignancies. It has received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval for clinical trials in both China and the United States for the treatment of various brain tumors.
