QHL-1231 is a preclinical-stage small molecule drug conjugate (SMDC) developed by Affinity Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of solid tumors. As part of the company's 'Precision Guided Target Therapy' platform, QHL-1231 is designed to simultaneously target three key pathways involved in oncogenesis, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and angiogenesis: AXL receptor tyrosine kinase, Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), and c-Met (Hepatocyte Growth Factor Receptor). The SMDC approach utilizes a small molecule ligand to deliver a cytotoxic payload specifically to tumor cells expressing these targets, aiming to enhance therapeutic efficacy and reduce the systemic toxicity typically associated with conventional chemotherapy. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling/preclinical phase of development.
