QHL-816 is a preclinical small molecule drug conjugate (SMDC) developed by Shanghai Affinity Biopharmaceutical. It functions as a Stimulator of Interferon Genes (STING) agonist, designed to trigger innate immune responses within the tumor microenvironment. The drug utilizes the company's proprietary Tumor MicroEnvironment Activated (TMEA) platform, which enables the selective release of the STING agonist payload in the tumor vicinity. This targeted approach is intended to minimize systemic toxicity, often associated with STING agonists, while enhancing the therapeutic index for the treatment of solid tumors.
