Overview

QHRD110 is an orally bioavailable, small molecule inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6 (CDK4/6) developed by Changzhou Qianhong Bio-pharma. It is specifically designed to penetrate the blood-brain barrier (BBB), addressing a critical challenge in treating central nervous system (CNS) malignancies. By selectively inhibiting CDK4 and CDK6, QHRD110 prevents the phosphorylation of the retinoblastoma (Rb) protein, which subsequently blocks the transition from the G1 to the S phase of the cell cycle. This mechanism induces cell cycle arrest and inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells. QHRD110 is primarily being developed for the treatment of high-grade glioma (HGG), including glioblastoma, and is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy in patients with recurrent or refractory brain tumors.
